I’ve done this event a bunch of times over the years but the last one was in 2018 so it’s been a minute.
This year has a special quirk: my studio, set up in my brick and mortar, is one of the host spots. I’ll have two other artists with me there and we’ll be doing our studio tour thing from the relative convenience of my own shop. One of the other artists, Donald Ferguson of Wandering Man Photography, is one of the artists I represent in the shop but he’ll have more of his whole show set up. The other artist is a painter, Andrea Haughian, and I’m totally looking forward to seeing more of her work in person.
If you’re in my neck of the woods, southwest Saskatchewan, you should really give the Highway 1 Studio Tour a try. It’s a self directed driving tour that runs from Beverley, just west of Swift Current, to just south east of Herbert, along the transcanada. There’s a bunch of stops sprinkled along and we’ve got a good mix of artists this year. If you collect a stamp from all (or probably, most, of the locations) and give your stamp card to one of us we’ll enter you into a draw for some fabulous art we’ve all donated.
