I’m going to be in Calgary next week – April 24-26 – and in Saskatoon the week after, May 3 & 4. Doing what? Tabling in the respective artist alleys for those cons of course! I feel a little unprepared because whooo it’s been a heck of a few months of mental exhaustion with the whole world but also: cons are the ice cream sundaes of craft shows. If I’m gonna do a show it’s gonna be that one. And really, I should do a couple shows. See fun humans. Sell things.
So, anyways, Calgary Expo finally got organized* enough to put the Artist Alley in the same building as the rest of the event and we’ll be in Hall E of the BMO Centre. I’m at Booth A491 and I will have… whatever I have. Some truly adorable ceramics and polymer clay. Some updated brand materials. A cheerful disposition.
The week after Calgary I’m heading to Saskatoon. Sask Expo rebranded to Pop Con YXE so we’ll see how that goes! Prairieland is a pretty good venue though and I get to see more of the fun peeps. At that show I’m at booth 327, not far from the autograph area so I’ll probably even get to see the famous folks which is a fun perk.
* It’s not so much a matter of Calgary Expo getting organized as the Calgary Stampede grounds and the convention centre being under construction for pretty much ever. I moved away in 2009 and I am pretty sure there has been some SUBSTANTIAL construction in that area for most of the time since.
