I do believe the winter is giving up here… I know, I shouldn’t jinx it. And yes, it IS the end of April. To celebrate a little I made the robin cane that has been on my to do list for most of the not-spring. This is the unreduced version of it. You can see them as beads in my shop, too!
I’m an indoor person and a lot of the time I’m a bit of a hermit. I have just enough of a speech issue that going out and dealing with people is frustrating. And really when all the world is under snow and ice, as mine is at the moment, I’d rather admire it from my warm little house.
Especially when I have all the signs of spring right here on my studio table!
Maybe next weekend, that little part in the middle that is wrapped tight around the flower, will be pushing up the tulip. It’s magic every year.
Until the real flowers show up, I have to make do with the ones I bake in the oven all the time.
From earlier in the week, while we were in Calgary, when I visited the zoo I noticed a theme: all of the critters were sitting in their enclosures enjoying the sun. The lions, tiger, leopards were so much like our little guy.
