Ring in the New Year

I’ve avoided posting New Years resolutions the last few years but this year I have both the ‘Top Ten’ of what I pulled off in 2009 and what I am looking forward to in 2010. These are just the broad strokes goals for my year, my happy list making self made little detail lists for them all elsewhere.

In 2009 I:

  1. Doubled my previous years sales
  2. Made 30,000 beads
  3. Moved to a new town
  4. Sold at a Big show
  5. Got an office-studio of my own
  6. Expanded my online presence
  7. Took good care of myself
  8. Tried 30 new dishes(at least!)
  9. Organized and trimmed… pretty much everything
  10. Made 100 different canes (at least!)

And in 2010 I will:

  1. Be healthier yet
  2. Double my sales again
  3. Travel (it’s booked!)
  4. Get my license
  5. Make more buttons and jewelry
  6. Write and sell tutorials
  7. Do the Bead show
  8. Hold my family and friends close
  9. Do 10 shows
  10. Improve my photography
  11. Open and push the rest of my sites online

Okay, so there’s 11 for 2010. It’s hard sticking to pretty 10 item lists!

  1. Hee… thanks! Not all of them were fancy, sanded beads – maybe a third of them. But that’s a lot of holes if nothing else.

Hope your New Year is awesome!

  2. Elaine, you are an inspiration! You have inspired me to get my list for 2010 goals created. I love the fact that you accomplished so much in 2009. Happy New Year!

  3. Elaine, I have no doubt you will achieve all of those goals and many more you haven’t thought of yet!

  4. Elaine, thanks for posting your lists. Those are inspiring. Both for getting the year in review done to compare with the previous year, but also for setting reachable goals for this year. Kudos to you for keeping up with all of it.

  5. Elaine;

I have followed you for all of 3 years. It has been wonderful to see you evolve and grow not only as an artist, mom and most of all a gracious human being.
I know not enough words of accolades to say how proud of you I am.

I am looking forward to your tutorials. Maybe you could add a You Tube tutorial to that list. Hint hint!!!!

  6. I’m proud of you for the 10 things from 2009!! That’s EXCELLENT!

2010 – hope you make it but you’ll still be wonderful whether you do or not.
