In the Shop

My bead shop on Etsy rolled over a milestone goal today! I hit a 1000 items sold for which I am profoundly grateful. I’ll be raising some of the prices in my Etsy shops the next few days, something I’d been putting off but for now the shop is at the same ol’ same ol’ prices. There’s lots of new stuff in there though including some “disc” flowers which should make for easier use than the dangly flowers.

I also went and rearranged the categories in my bead shop so that I’d be able to add a selection of finished items as well as more accurately describe what I sell. One of my goals for the year was to work on the search engine optimization of my various bits of web real estate and things are going along smoothly on that front.

Leaf Beads

Along with more flowers than any sane person should ever make in their life I make a few other canes. A few faces. Some butterflies and bees. I’ve done a bunny, a chick, a cat, a puppy and a couple of frogs. All of those are complex canes. I don’t make a lot of leaf canes which I don’t really understand since they’re a much less complex design than even many of the flowers I do.

Ginkgo Leaf Beads

Here’s a ginkgo leaf cane slice bead. I’m happy with these – they turned out just like what I hoped for after I realized they were totally NOT going to be a good 4 leaf clover bead. I even listed the set of them on Etsy if you’d like to have your very own!

Artisan Christmas Sale

We’re not actually SELLING artisans – just artisan items, all accessories this time: jewellery, decoration and hand dyed fabric items.

We’ll be at Skyswept Designs which is a studio in the Entrepreneurial Centre, on 6th Ave and George Street in Swift Current. The plan is to have nibbles, too, and a selection of lower priced items for the kiddos to shop from.
