Some of the latest in my Etsy shops – the pic is linked to my Tooaquarius shop but the canes can be found in my Claychicks shop. There’s a few of my new textured and distressed pendants, my Valentine’s Day offerings, a pile of new cane sets and… geraniums. Yeah, I know that’s out there.

Artisan Christmas Sale

We’re not actually SELLING artisans – just artisan items, all accessories this time: jewellery, decoration and hand dyed fabric items.

We’ll be at Skyswept Designs which is a studio in the Entrepreneurial Centre, on 6th Ave and George Street in Swift Current. The plan is to have nibbles, too, and a selection of lower priced items for the kiddos to shop from.

My Tooaquarius shop on Etsy has Free Shipping until Tuesday, at least. In addition to that you can get 10% off with the coupon code THANKSSN. The cane shop hasn’t got Free Shipping (alas!) but with the same THANKSSN coupon you can get 20% off.

Display ideas

I’m hoping that with a reeeeeeeeally good cleaning and a little cosmetic work these will turn into lovely displays for my shows. There’s a bunch more where I found them but I’m working in batches.

I always liked the idea of “booth lego” where I can use boxes and other items to both carry stock and arrange my booth with. I may sand down my current Ikea boxes back to plywood so that they’ll better mix and match.

The Shop: Dusting Off My Etsy

With autumn rolling in – it has been a lovely, lovely summer here – I’m dusting off my online shops. Loading up new pieces, making the old ones prettier and brighter.

The newest beadies are those flower slices in the second and third row in some new fun colours. Have a peek! I’ll have some pictures of the jewellery goodness I’ve made from the ones I kept this weekend.

Tis the Season

And my last show in it is coming right up this weekend! I admit I am always happy when show season is done for the year and I get a few weeks to work on gifts and socializing. It picks up again right away in the new year with shows beginning in February in 2011. I put together a few new pieces for the weekend. These are some of my favourites.

As always I am playing around with the shooting conditions. These are taken with my older camera with a daylight bulb diffused through tissue. The lighting is even and nice but I will have to dig out my tripod because my focus is not great. Still, I’m having fun with this and hoping that a little macro for my dslr shows up at Christmas.

Now I have a few things to sand and buff before Saturday. And scouts to help with at the bakery – they’ll be manning the concession at our show – tonight. Wish me luck and I hope you are all having a good and profitable time with your shows as well!

Jewelrymaking Factory

I try to batch my tasks as much as possible so that I can get a bunch accomplished in one session. Last night and this morning was a series of necklaces in the jewelrymaking factory (aka. my studio). Here’s two of them:

I love the combination of the leaf green and the antiqued brass!

This one is a new design with a bit more movement than I usually put on my necklaces. Having fun with it though!

There will be plenty more new work to show this weekend at the Gun & Hobby Show. Come visit, there will be bunches of us at the Stockade in Swift Current!
