The Twelve Days of Christmas

The Trans Canada Etsy Team is doing their yearly Christmas promotion with the Twelve Days of Christmas… our way. Check out the TCET blog daily for our posts and features of the participants. Also, check out the list of promos and specials on the page for chances to buy handmade and to buy Canadian. AND, if that wasn’t cool enough, there is a giant gift basket of goodies to be won simply by purchasing from the participating shops. Phew!

In my own shop I’ll be offering Free Shipping throughout! Also, during the twelve days, there will be one day coupon codes in effect to use for additional discounts. All of the shipping in my Tooaquarius shop has already been discounted and as always if there’s anything you’d like to see that isn’t there, please let me know!

Highway 1 Recap

This weekend was the first “studio tour” type show I’ve ever done and it was a great success. I’m not sure who bribed Mother Nature but the weather was absolutely beautiful making the studio tour spanning about 90 minutes of Highway 1 between Rush Lake and Chaplin Saskatchewan a pleasure.

Herbert Train Station

I was station in the historic train station in Herbert along with fellow artist Louise Perrin. I took the waiting room which was transformed into my studio for the weekend. Tour goers got to see me cranking out canes, passing out prototype buttons, try out my clay jewelry and chat with me about art.

Canes

To round out the weekend, I got to enjoy the coffee house (the wine and cheese type event) for the current exhibit at the Art Gallery of Swift Current. These two gentlemen are the artists and were kind enough to pose. I highly recommend checking it out if you have a chance – it is an interesting combination of art and commentary.

The Shop: Slices

This week, the shop has the Ode to Slice Beads as a theme I swear! There are my little 25 cent slices and the larger, more complicated ones I use in my charm bracelets. There’s a selection in my ArtFire shop to start – take a look:

The larger slices will be a dollar a piece or a dozen for $10. AF allows me to easily list multiple quantities, so if you need more than what’s there, do let me know. For example, my bracelets use between 10 and 30 of each flower type in them. I will probably make larger, mixed, quantities available soon.

And these will roll out to my Etsy shop in the coming days or weeks. Just have to start somewhere.

Meet CreativeCritters

The Smoosher of the week is Michelle of CreativeCritters. Based in Fairview Park, Ohio Michelle is a talented sculptor. She creates primarily fantasy and whimsical pieces from polymer clay and other materials (check out her bears! so cute!)

Kitties (fast kitties!) and dragons make me happy.
