The Shop: Friendly Promoting
Etsy Treasuries are a little addictive! I lucked into one today - they were having server issues, so LOTS of people lucked into them - that I got to set up with two favourites: Blue and Clay. You can see the treasury filled with all sorts of blue-toned clay items by clicking the piccie:
Of course, with all the extra treasuries floating about someone kindly put one of my Claychicks canes in theirs. Thanks Bam!
This week my Tooaquarius Etsy shop is also featured on Winklepots blog. Winkle makes some incredibly adorable handpainted lil’ kids wear. I told Chloe she needs to be 4 again but she disagrees with me. Luckily I know other little people now.
I have beads chugging along in the tumbler now, so we’ll have some fresh stuff on the sites this weekend and until then I’ve begun adding beads to the webstore here. These will likely be beads made as they’re ordered and will include my regular themes in my usual shapes: pillows, rounds and lentils in blues, sea garden, sunshine, black and white, coffee tones, sweetheart pink, lavender field, tangerine. I will also add the sets I have on hand that one of a kinds but these mostly find their way to Etsy first.
The Shop - Summer Moseying Along
Taking the cue from the majority of the other cane sellers on Etsy, I listed singles in the Claychicks shop this week:

And I am finally bringing my web store in line with my Etsy Shops to make life a little simpler on my record keeping. The prices will be similar across the board - though Etsy will be cheaper for sets picked by me, you can still get a ‘buy 5 get 1 free’ set of six on here - and sometimes, I think, my American friends will get a good deal when the Canadian buck swings low (as my site prices are in Canadian dollars).
Across the board shipping for canes and beads is now much more reasonable. I got the ins and outs of Canadian shipping explained to me and I am happy to be able to say: It STILL makes NO SENSE but I can now offer shipping at about the same prices as US sellers. Overseas shipping may need a little tweaking, be warned.
Claychicks Weekly - Not so Weekly
I thought the Canadian postal system was enemy enough but working as half of the Claychicks, I’ve had to learn to deal with the US one as well! Part of my shipment to Carolyn arrived so I listed part of it being that slightly obsessive keener that I am… 3 of my favourites from this boxful include:
Caro is working on getting her stock sorted out and into the Claychicks shop too. She’s planning out little grab bags of canes - good segments by weight but not in any particular size as right now her wrists are on light duty only. Not that there is such a thing as light duty with infant twins!
Claychicks & Tooaquarius Weekly
Wow, we did it. The Claychicks are back! And the Tooaquarius Shop on Etsy has launched! I reloaded the Claychicks Etsy shop with clay canes and added a few beadsets to the new Tooaquarius shop as well as the webstore.

Claychicks Weekly - Coffee n Bees
If you need a bit of a buzz (I crack myself up) you have options with our ebay this week - this set of Carolyn’s on ebay has a bee with lovely roses. Or, if you prefer your ‘buzz’ with a little less sting, I have my coffee hued set. It’s what I used on my bangle a couple of weeks ago.

The ‘chicks have a stack of stuff on ebay this week: The last set of Carolyn’s pansies for the season, a crayon box of pastel roses and, my favourite, Fred Chases Bees:
I think I like it because in his younger years my cat was the mighty hunter of whatever bug dared tresspass into our house.
Claychicks Weekly - May 3
Somewhere in the hectic last few weeks I sent new stuff to Claychicks USA branch, put up the bloggy page for the chix at www.claychicks.com, stuff arrived at Claychicks USA, I accidentally deleted 6 months of email while backing up folders and other catastrophes.
There’s good news though - I have new stuff up! A couple ebay auctions and new offerings in Etsy over the last and next few days.

Our ebay this week is a whole load of bits and pieces - I feel bad calling these ends ’cause my ends don ‘t look this pretty - of Carolyn Canes. 18 oz of bits and pieces in fact.
