Art Bead Ornaments

Welcome to the Art Bead Scene’s ornament blog hop! We were all challenged to pick from our art bead stash and make ornaments. I went with my birdie and house beads to make simple little ornaments:

Birdie Ornament

Both ornaments were fishing expeditions in the bowls of bead soup in my work area. By this point in my beady life, there are plenty of bits of ribbon, wire, stone and everything else to make some cute little things!

  1. Caning houses would be a simple thing – did a bunch of houses that were all canes, made from ends of other canes for the roof. This one was a bit more of a mix of techniques but the idea is still good. The benefit is, you could reduce the roof and the bottom separately then just join them together after, when the cane was at the size you wanted to use it at.

  2. Oh that sweet little house! It looks like a wee elf would live there! And I think I have one of your wee houses. I must find it and whip up one of these! Isn’t it nice when all your goodies are within reach? I have to remember this the next time I need a quick start. I will make ornaments! So glad you joined us on this hop! Enjoy the day! Erin

  3. Love your ornaments. the little house is so cute. A mysterious little door for the mini elfs. :). Polymer is so amazing. Im in the hop but not added on the list yet. Please stop by and comment. Happy Holidays and Hopping, Kim
