Bloggy Giveaways

My very first blog giveaway! Since this is my first time with this, I think I will keep it simple and offer a $20 shopping spree at my Etsy shops (feel free to mix & match between the bead shop and the cane shop) or website shop. There’s all sorts of good stuff! And to make it even sweeter, free shipping, so the shipping is not counted against your spree.

To enter the giveaway, simple post a comment on this post. I’d love to hear any opinions about the blog re-design, any requests for colours, patterns or shapes for my future work or even clay how-to questions! It’s all good! You can even just say ‘Hi’! You do not need to be a blogger to enter, just need to make that post and use a valid email address in the form.

On Friday, after I’m back from taking my little goblin out trick-or-treating, I will close comments and pick a winner. This should be somewhere around 9pm mountain time. I will announce the winner on Saturday, after my show (wish me luck even!).

I’m happy to ship anywhere, so I welcome entrants from around the world. The more the merrier! And don’t forget shipping is free :)

For a truly awesome list of other bloggy giveaways check out the Blog Carnival on Bloggy Giveaways. There’s an expected 1000 plus participants this time around! That’s an awful lot of free goodness! Bloggy Giveaways also does regular giveaways even outside of the Carnival and it’s always fun to watch.

* The very fine print: the $20 is face value – you’re welcome to buy from my web shop or my Etsy shop but in the interest of keeping it simple, I am going to consider the $$$ equal. So you could spend $10 on my Etsy and $10 here and that would be the gift certificate.

  1. I like the blog just the way it is. It’s easy to navigate – you don’t have to wade throught a bunch of graphics, etc.

  2. Your beads are gorgeous, as is your blog! I’d love to know how clay beads are made, since I make glass beads. Maybe we could work out a trade so we could both have some fun beads. ;-)

Hmmmm, color suggestions. I’m always drawn to purple, my favorite color, so purples mixed with pinks and/or blues is always fun for me, and purples and grapes are really in this fall.

  3. I think your blog, website and Esty shops were really neat-easy to navigate. I like the fact that you posted a how to on what you can make with the canes, I am not a crafty person but my daughter is and we’d love to try some beading projects together. Please add me to the drawing, thank you!

  5. I’m new to your site, so I don’t know how to compare the re-design to the old one, but the first thing I thought when I clicked to this site was “wow, this is a BEAUTIFUL website.” So I guess your re-design is successful. :)

My best friend is really interested in beading right now, so if I won your giveaway I think I’d use my shopping spree to buy Christmas presents for her!

  6. I don’t have any suggetions, but I really love the sunflowers. My great grandmother loved sunflowers so they remind me of her :) (I guess I know what I’d have to have if I was lucky enough to win!)

  7. I love cane glass. I mostly work with lampwork, but cane glass is so cool. Your desgins are just great. Would love to work with it.

    Thanks for having the giveaway!

  8. The beads are so lovely. Especially the blue floral ones with the blue butterflies. I like the collage pf pictures on your site’s header, plus the soft colored background. I think it’s very pleasing to the eye.

  9. I often stop by your blog to see what you have been up to and check out your canes. I have been playing with the clay now for about 4 months and have used a couple of your tutorials, they are great; the pictures and text keep everything simple and explain things beautifully, what inspiration you are.
To offer this giveaway is fantastic. Have fun with it and enjoy your show and your trick or treating.
    Best wishes

  10. Very pretty beads! I love the lentil beads with swirls…and I also really like the pillow case ones. I have no clue what canes are!!? Is it like a stick which you ‘slice’ and bake? How would you bake it on book covers/beads etc.? Hmmm…

I’m gonna add your rss to my google reader!

    : )

  11. I liked the colors.

  17. Hi from Canada! Oh wow, your beads are beautiful!! My son is fascinated with beads, and would have a blast choosing from al your lovely designs. Thank you kindly for offering free shipping with this, and cross-border, too!

  18. Wow- what neat stuff! I have stayed away from beading because I was afraid I’d be hooked on yet another craft. However, if I WON some to try…. :)

  19. Your beads are so awesome. I have never heard of “canes” but you can bet I will be looking into them. I do have a question you mention cooking them? Is this done in a regular oven?

    Thanks so much!
