Year of Clay – Not Flower Canes

I make a lot of flower canes. Sometimes, I need to cane something else.

So the first was a try at a fleur-de-lis motif. The cane came out well, though it needs to be redone in much firmer clay before I use it to make anything for my Scouts-obsessed friend.

The second was a cane of a Sierpinski Triangle which just called to my geeky side. This was actually done earlier by Windell here. I even ended up using blue and white clay. Some of this cane covered a Jacob’s ladder for my brother as I knew he’d appreciate it.
