Then I used the canes to decorate tiny clay flip flop beads. The flip flops are based loosely on Kathy Weinberg’s flip flops and happened because my friend Carolyn Jordan’s have made me crazy with envy. Read more
Citrus Punch
I love when you can make a comparatively simple cane and get a whole bunch of variety with a simple change of colour. In this case, I made a few citrus canes - orange, lemon, lime and an optimistic take on pink grapefruit - and then used the cane to make the simplest of clay beads. I see these as sweet treat earrings, dangling from posts with fruit coloured crystals. What a summer blast!

Colour Chips Galore
A while ago I spent some serious time making myself some reference colour chips from several Premo! shades. I did them as Red / Yellow / Blue wheels and used various colours for the RYB values.
To the resulting hues (I did a 24 chip wheel) I added various amounts of white, grey, black, ecru and beach (white+ecru). In the end I ended up with literally hundreds of little colour chips. I strung them on cord and they’re in my studio.
I finally buckled down and wrote the recipes out, as close as I can get them to show on monitors, and put them up as pages in my Learn section. Enjoy!
